Bottling<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For 100% distilled ouzo, the spirit is diluted with water to reach the desired alcohol level.<\/li>\n<li>Many producers blend their distillate with star anise extract and dilute it slowly with water.<\/li>\n<li>Some in Southern Greece add a small amount of sugar.<\/li>\n<li>The final mixture is homogenized and aged in special tanks before bottling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Tradition of Ouzo Distillation: A Feast for All<\/p>\n<p>Ouzo-making is more than a process\u2014it\u2019s a celebration!<\/p>\n<p>Music fills the air, competing with laughter and lively conversations.<\/p>\n<p>Endless meze dishes appear, as each household brings a specialty:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stuffed grape leaves (dolmadakia)<\/li>\n<li>Homemade pies and fresh salads<\/li>\n<li>Grilled octopus, lamb chops, and skewered meats<\/li>\n<li>Quinces roasted over charcoal, dusted with cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>Chestnuts and syrupy Greek desserts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>November marks the final days of these gatherings\u2014but there&#8217;s always next year!
